    • October 19th 2009, 5-6 pm at the WVU Mountainlair. Demo for Diversity Week. Narah will give a history presentation, perform with her student  Chris Spiteri, and do a solo performance.

    • Saturday, August 1st 2009 - in the Folkloric Show organized by Atesh at the Pennsic War (Slippery Rock, PA). Show starts at 7:oo PM in the Middle Eastern Tent.

    • July 11, 2009 - Take A Journey Through Dance!!  Join us at the Monongalia Arts Center.  The MAC, a beautiful historic building, is the location for the Hips Around the World Show, headlined by Urban Tribal and featuring local and regional dancers. Not only will you see different styles of Belly Dance, but you will also be treated to Polynesian dance, Flamenco, Raqs Assaya, Bollywood fusion, Dunyavi Rom dance, and more!!

    • October 17th, for Morgantown’s Arts Walk, a free self guided tour of downtown businesses featuring artists in a variety of mediums.   Narah’s performance at the Monongalia Arts Center (the MAC 107 High St., Morganatown, WV 26507)

    • September 6th, 2008 - Bodacious Belly Dance Moves, Combos and Unique Layers for Tribal Fusion Belly Dance - Join us to spice up your solos or troupe numbers with these most excellent moves and combinations.  Narah's original ideas will keep you moving through improvisation, add dynamics to any choreography and bring out the best in Improvisational Choreography.   Also... Keep your Belly Dance prowess fresh with these unique layers.  It is doubtful that you have seen them in other workshops... (you'll have to come to find out ;) ).  We will break them down so you can drill properly. You'll have great party tricks after this workshop!  Be sure to practice those foundational movements beforehand!  You can use the Narah and Jala Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Technical Foundation Instructional DVD, available in the market placeBeginners welcome, but it is going to be an advanced paced workshop, so enjoy the challenge!

    • September 6th, 2008 - Kari Merlina, director of Sadiqa, will teach Flamenco Elements for Belly Dancers! Kari is a trained Flamenco dancer and Belly Dancer! She will give you an introduction to Flamenco as well as teach a short choreography to allow you to seamlessly blend the two dances together! Do not miss this opportunity!

    • September 25th, 2006 - The Art of Relaxation - In today's world, few can claim to be "stress free".  Stress follows us everywhere.  Even the technology that makes our lives more convenient, such as cell phones and instant messaging, often creates more stress than it relieves.  Over-stressed people (and that's all of us) court headaches, insomnia, irritability, memory problems, back and neck pain, immune system damage, digestive distress, even life-threatening illness.  Yet despite these clear warning signs, most of us remain bound by our lifestyles and "too busy" to change them.'  (Dawn Groves, 2004)  Join us at the Earth Movement Studio Tuesday September 26th, 7:00-8:00pm to learn the Art of Relaxation.  Explore simple, user-friendly methods to get you on your way to a happier, healthier you.  $10/person

    • February 18th, 2006 - Two workshops at the Earth Movement Studio in Morgantown:

      • Solo Improvisational Technique- Regardless of your style of bellydance, knowing how to "make it up as you go" and "put it all together" is key to truly dancing. In all styles of bellydance, the dancer will solo. And besides, even if you always perform with other people, you'll want to know what to do when you dance alone in the living room!  Time:  11:00-2:00pm  Cost:  $35 in advance, $45 the day of the workshop.

      • Tribal Fusion Veil- Learn the style and technique Narah has developed for distinct veil work.  Bring a veil or buy one at the studio- $35.  Time:  3:30-5:30pm.  Cost:  $25 in advance, $35 the day of the workshop.

    • December 4th, 2005- Balancing the Chakras with Yoga and Belly Dance.

    • November 5th, 2005- Tribal Fusion Drum Choreography.

    • April 16th, 2005, Solo Improvisational Skills,  Total Wellness Studio in Yardley, PA.  Regardless of your style of bellydance, knowing how to "make it up as you go" and "put it all together" is key to truly dancing. In all styles of bellydance, the dancer will solo. And besides, even if you always perform with other people, you'll want to know what to do when you dance alone in the living room!

    • February 6th, 2005, South Charleston Middle School.  (a k a South Charleston Jr. High according to our flyers!)  Topic:  Tribal Fusion Combinations.  Learn unique combinations that can be used in choreographies, or improv choreography (group improv).  These combinations will help you build your repertoire, learn about transitions and polish Tribal technique.

    • December 11th and 12th- Intensive Workshop Weekend!  The Uskudara choreography, Improvisational Choreography, Solo Improvisational Skills and Tribal Bellydance Costuming in two days! 

    • Dec.11th- 11:00am-1:30pm  Tribal Choreography to Uskudara; use Tribal Bellydance Technique in this dynamic choreography to help you learn movements, combinations and ways to put your dance together.

    • 3:00pm-5:30pm  Solo Improvisational Skills; regardless of your style of bellydance, knowing how to "make it up as you go" and "put it all together" is key to truly dancing.  In all styles of bellydance, the dancer will solo.  And besides, even if you always perform with other people, you'll want to know what to do when you dance alone in the living room.  :)

    • 8:00pm to ~ 10:30pm  Bellydance Video Viewing!  Take advantage of my video library and support the arts!

    • Dec. 12th- 10:30am-1pm  Improvisational Choreography; Some consider this format the hallmark of Tribal Style Bellydance.  Certainly a key factor in American Tribal Style, this system of cueing and following creates an "in the moment" feeling.  Learn the movements, cues, signals and formations used in this innovative process.

    • 2:30-5pm  Tribal Bellydance Costuming;  Learn the textures, materials, key pieces, jewelry styles and make up technique used by Tribal Belly Dancers.  We will also have a sewing demonstration so that you'll learn to make a pair of pantaloons!  As this is the "intensive" version, we will not have the room or time to have everyone make their own pair, so do not worry about bringing sewing machines or fabric.

    • July 17th, 2004- Tribal Basket Choreography - the art of using a prop, new moves, transitions and combinations.  Another way to help you put it all together!  Nicole Gauthier-Schatz, Yoga Instructor, also took us through a yoga warm up geared specifically towards bellydance.

    • February 28th, 2004 - Choreography Workshop at the Earth Movement Studio.  Learning a choreography using Tribal Bellydance technique to understand and drill transitions and combinations (putting it all together!)

    • January 31st, 2004 - Improvisation - confidence building tools, formulas and thought patterns for putting your dance together without choreography.

    • November 15th, 2003 - Choreography workshop at the Earth Movement Studio.  Learning a choreography using Tribal Bellydance technique to understand and drill transitions and combinations (putting it all together!)
