Please copy, paste and print the following and bring it to class or the workshop.

Narah's weekly class and workshop policies

1.           Each student will pay prior to beginning class.  No late payments will be accepted.  If you cannot pay for the class, please do not come.

2.           Every person in the studio will participate and will pay to do so.  Please do not bring anyone to just watch the class.  This intimidates the other students and inhibits learning.

3.           Class fees and workshop fees are non-refundable unless a workshop or class is canceled and not rescheduled.

4.           Students will please follow all class etiquette outlined in Miramar’s article linked here: Miramar's article:  http://aleena.com/miramar/DanceClassEtiquette.html

1.       Show respect for your teacher.  By giving teachers the respect they deserve, you get something back - your            money’s worth.

2.       Be on time.  Please include time to get a drink, sign in, change, etc.

3.       Be considerate of students around you.

4.       Wear suitable attire.  Nothing too baggy or noisy.

5.       Keep talking and giggling to a minimum.

6.       Avoid being a know it all.

7.       Take notes when sitting out of active participation.

8.       Let the teacher teach. It is not your job to teach other students even if they are apparently struggling; it is the teacher’s job.  Likewise, ask the teacher questions, not other students.

9.       Keep an open mind and please do not complain.

10.     Watch the teacher’s performance or demonstration.

Also, please turn your cell phone off.  In addition to #9, please do not use body shape as an excuse- you will build all the strength and flexibility you need regardless of shape, form, age, etc.

5.           If you are participating in a recital/performance, you must attend as many rehearsals as possible.  Rehearsals in which a teacher is present and providing feedback/guidance are classes, so you pay for them as you would any class.  If you are unable to attend one, then you must inform the instructor so that adjustments can be made.  If you miss more than what the instructor deems acceptable, you may be asked to not participate in the performance.  You must attend dress rehearsal if you are going to participate in the recital/performance.

6.           Belly Dance is an ancient dance form and it takes many years of experience and training in order to be qualified to teach.  Students enrolled in Narah's classes will not teach without the proper training and experience.  If you choose to ignore this policy, please do not attend Narah's weekly classes.

7.           All original combinations and choreographies are copyrighted by Narah or Jala and may not be taught or performed without express permission.

Medical Release

If executed correctly and all precautions are followed, bellydance is a safe and effective form of physical activity.  I understand and agree that bellydance is a physical activity that should be cleared with a doctor if I have any concerns about a medical condition.  I also understand and agree that Narah (a k a Kimberly A. Minardi), Jala bint Durr (Charity Arrington) nor any affiliates are not responsible for or liable for any injury incurred before, during, or after bellydance classes, workshops or practice.
